White Cube Bermondsey
'단색화의 대가' 박서보(90) 화백이 오는 17일부터 런던 화이트 큐브 갤러리 버몬지White Cube Bermondsay에서 개인전을 연다. 런던 화이트 큐브에서의 전시는 2016년 첫 전시 이래 이번이 세 번째이며, 버몬지에서는 처음으로 열리는 메인 전시이다.
이번 전시에서는 초기 조형 작품과 2000대 초반부터 작업하여 단색화 고유의 미를 잘 드러내는 색채 <묘법> 연작의 최근 작품들까지 선보일 예정이다. 리아뜰 매거진 아트디렉터를 맡고 있는 이동은 화가와 서보미술문화재단에서 담화를 나눴던 90세 현역 작가의 끊임없는 수행과 열정이 오롯이 담긴 작품들은 런던뿐 아니라 화이트큐브 온라인에서도 만날 수 있다.

White Cube Bermondsey is presented a major exhibition of works by Park Seo-Bo, his most comprehensive to date in the UK. On the occasion of the artist’s 90th birthday, the exhibition reflects upon a lifetime of practice; from early figurative works to his vibrant ‘Colour Ecriture’ paintings produced since the early 2000s. Also on show are Park’s most recent ‘Ecriture’ abstractions, featuring horizontal blocks of pencil lines inscribed over a single colour of light pink, sky blue or acid green.
